Acetate Card

Hello everyone, today I have an acetate card to show you. I have wanted to make an acetate card for ages now and a few weeks ago my DT teamie over on the CCC blog set the theme of acetate but unfortunately I was ill that week and couldn't take part... so today, here we are with my very first acetate card!!! I really love how it has turned out although I have to say it was a bit difficult to photograph and you can see the tiny little bits of fluff or whatever on the acetate....very annoying!!

So, for my card I have used Spooky Tilda and cut her out so the broom wasn't showing - a great way to use the stamp for other occasions. She is coloured with copics, popped up on foam pads and mounted onto a die cut nestie that has been embossed with my d'vine swirl folder. The DP is from Imaginisce, the flowers are from wild orchid and the jewels and ribbon are from my stash.

For the inside I have used Sweet Tilda on the left and Bridesmaid Tilda on the right. The layout and everything on the left side is the same as the front except that I haven't used the flowers and I have used a ribbon slider instead of a bow so that the inside wasn't too bulky. The right had side is just simple, I stamped Tilda straight onto the card along with the sentiment that is from Crafty Sentiments.

Finally, I just used a stamp from WOJ on the back... kept it CAS!

A bit of Distressing!

Hello everyone, today my card features the ever so cute Tilda with Birdcage from the Magnolia Pet Collection 2009. This card was originally made for a challenge with a theme of distressing....it was certainly a challenge for me!

Well, distressing is a nightmare for me and although I can't bring myself to rip and rough up my papers, I can manage a bit of inking! Since I got my copics at christmas my distress inks have been thoroughtly neglected but I have dusted them off and used them to colour Tilda. My DP is from Basic grey and I have distressed each element with antique linen and edged with vintage photo. I really love how this card turned out.... I'll have to get my inks out a bit more!

Supplies
Card/Paper: Cream and pink card, Basic Grey - Sugared
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Birdcage - Pet Collection 2009
Colouring: Distress inks - antique linen, walnut stain, black soot, vintage photo, peeled paint, worn lipstick, tattered rose, faded jeans, weathered wood
Embellishments: Ribbon, pearls
Tools: Sewing machine
