Stamptacular Challenge 19

Morning all, this week for Stamptacular Challenge 19 we have a theme of 3-2-1 where you have to use 3 brads, 2 patterned papers and 1 flower. We also have our very own Janneke sponsoring us with a fabulous prize this week, so check out the blog and join in.

For my DT card I have used a Magnolia image that I received from a blog bud and it is coloured with distress inks and the water is highlighted with stickles. The papers and glazed brads are basic grey and the flowers, ribbon and charm are all from my stash.

I have decorated the inside too with the same basic grey DPs and the sentiment is from WOJ.

You may notice that two of the pictures look like they have different lighting (the front of my card and the close up below).... well stupidly I took them at different times to the others. I have retaken them and tried to sort the problem out, but photobucket is playing up and it still seems to have the old images. If two of the images disappear later on, I will pop back and add them again!

Finally, a close up!

Supplies
Card/Paper: White, black and pink card. Basic grey - Sugared
Stamps: Magnolia and WOJ - sentiment
Colouring: Distress inks - peeled paint, worn lipstick, tattered rose, vintage photo, walnut stain, broken china, weathered wood. Inkssentials pen for highlights
Embellishments: Basic grey brads, ribbon, flowers, charm
Tools: water brush

The rest of the DT have made some fabulous cards, so make sure you check them out.

Stamptacular Challenge 18

Hi everyone, this week at Stamptacular Challenge 18 we have a theme of "Childs Play". This is a really fun theme and the rest of the DT have made some awesome creations for children. This week we are also sponsored by Paper Makeup Stamps and they have put up some fabulous stamps as a prize for one lucky winner!

For my DT project I made a money box, well it was actually a very plain money tin and I just decorated it! I used a tilda image that I received from a blog bud and she is coloured with distress inks. I must apologize for the awful photo, the sun was really bright and I just couldn't get a decent shot.

This is the money box from the other side. The papers are from my stash, I used my MS doily lace punch for the borders, the flowers are primas, I used my leone em punch to make the branches and the label is computer generated using the font lucinda handwriting. I also have a trim down the sides using some american crafts ribbon, but I have just realized that it isn't showing in any of my piccies!!!

Finally, a view of the top. Just before I assembled everything, I lined up all of the layers and cut a slot with my craft knife, so the money can be popped inside.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Pink and white card, paper from stash
Stamps: Magnolia
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, vintage photo, worn lipstick, peeled paint, faded jeans, walnut stain, black soot, spiced marmalade. Inksenntials pen for highlights
Embellishments: Primas, pearls, american crafts ribbon
Tools: cuttlebug, nesties, MS doily lace punch, leone em branch punch, craft knife

Cupcake Challenge 48

Morning all, its time for Cupcake Challenge 48 and it is extra exciting for me this week as it was my turn to choose the theme and I chose "Blossoms and Butterflies" - nice and easy!

For my DT card I used a Magnolia image that I was sent by a blog bud and I have coloured her with distress inks. I coloured the lilacs pink (?!) to match in with the paper and I added some pink stickles to them so they really sparkle in real life. The papers are from K & Co - I just love them - they are so bold and colourful, this was a double sided sheet that I cut in half and turned over hence the two very bold patterns. I really like how it has turned out, it is not my usual thing but I'm definitely going to try and be more bold in the future!

I kept the inside nice and simple, I still have a bit more of these papers and I want to eek them out for another card as I like them so much!!! lol!

Finally a close up, you can see the sparkly flowers in this one!

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and pink card, K & Co Berry Sweet (I think)
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Lilacs
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, tattered rose, worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, weathered wood, peeled paint, black soot. Inkssentials pen for highlighting.
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewels, stickles
Tools: Water brush

The rest of the DT have made some awesome creations, so please check out the challenge and join in. We have some exciting things planned for our first birthday which is coming soon and you wont want to miss it!

Bright Red Ladybird Tilda

Hi girls, thankfully today it is cooler and it has rained.... I know to some of you this may seem a bit odd but we have been having temperatures in the mid/high 30s and I have been soooooo hot. I have been finding it very difficult to get the energy to do anything...... even craft!!!!

So, this afternoon I have finally managed to do make a card. It covers four challenges; firstly Just Magnolia Challenge 12 where the theme is charms, secondly Secret Crafter Challenge 39 where the theme is three ribbons.... I have actually used four so I hope it is ok!, Creative Card Crew Challenge 18 also has a theme of ribbons...handy!.. and finally, I have followed the fab sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday.

The gorgoeus Tilda image is from a blog bud and she is coloured with distress inks. The papers are pebbles ink and it is lush double sided paper, and I have used my d'vine swirl folder for the embossing. The flowers are primas, the charm, brad, spacer and cute little ladybird are all from my stash. I have just got a white inkssentials pen for highlighting and I'm working on the less is more philosophy until I get the hang of it.... I'm just dabbing it about at the moment, so you will have to bear with me!!! lol!!

The inside is nice and simple and, as you can see, the MS punch has made an appearance.... you were warned!!!! lol!! The sentiment was computer generated and behind it I have made a little pocket where money or a gift card can be added.

Finally, a close up of the very cute Tilda.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and red card, Pebbles inc
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Ladybug
Colouring: Distress inks - black soot, fired brick, tattered rose, weathered wood, worn lipstick. Inkssentials pen for highlights
Embellishments: Primas, PM brad, spacer, charm, ladybird embellie
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, d'vine swirl folder, water brush, MS doily lace punch, leone em branch punch

Thanks for looking and I hope you are all having a great week. x

Summery Tilda with Flowers

Just got this one done in time, even though the card has been partly made for days! Just Magnolia Challenge 10 has a theme of summer, I have used the sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge 5 and I'm also going to enter this card for Charisma Cardz Challenge 25 where anything goes.

For my card I have used a Magnolia image that I received from a blog bud and Tilda is coloured with distress inks. I have added some stickles to the centre of all the flowers to give the image a bit of lift and sparkle. The papers are from pebbles inc and the sentiment was done on my computer using the font lucinda handwriting.

The inside is decorated using the same papers and I have also used the influence of the sketch.

Finally, a close up of Tilda so you can see the colouring, but unfortunately the sparkle in the flowers doesn't show through. I think this image is ever so sweet and I really find the Magnolias a joy to colour.

Supplies:
Card/Paper: White and pink card, Pebbles inc
Stamp: Magnolia - Tilda with Flowers
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, worn lipstick, tattered rose, broken china, antique linen, peeled paint, weathered wood
Embellishments: Primas, PM pearl brad, pearls, stickles
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, leone em branch punch, water brush

Butterfly Tilda

This week on Cupcake Challenge 43, Ida set a colour challenge and you have to use the colours blue, orange and pink and make a card for a child. This was a fab colour combo to work with and I really enjoyed making this card.

I am also entering this card for Just Magnolia Week 8 where there is a fabulous sketch to follow by the uber talented Rach, Dutch Dare Challenge 51 where you have to decorate the inside of your card and finally Secret Crafter Challenge 35 where the theme is bling.

I have used a gorgeous magnolia image that I received from a blog bud and it is coloured with distress inks.

The paper I have used is perfect for this colour combo and I think it is so pretty. It is from pebbles inc and I only bought 1 12 x 12 sheet and this is my last piece (weep weep). It is double side so it is so easy to match it together, just flip it over!

For the inside I used the same papers and the sentiment is computer generated.

The card from another angle.

Finally, a close up showing Tilda in all her glory!

Supplies:
Card/Paper: White and pink card, Pebbles inc
Stamp: Magnolia
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, tattered rose, worn lipstick, fired brick, broken china, spiced marmalade, dusty concord.
Embellishments: Primas, jewel brad, jewels, american crafts ribbon.
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, water brush, sponge, leone em leaf punch.
