There's a Rumble in the Jungle!

Hello everyone, today I have made a card using some of my more neglected Magnolia stamps.

I have used Monkey and the hanging leaves from the Magnolia Pet Collection 2009 and they are coloured with copics and I have added some glossy accents to his eyes and nose. I also used the giraffe pattern stamp from the same collection and I stamped it with vintage photo distress ink to create the patterned card.

The DP is from MME and the leaves are all embossed. The buttons, twine and twill ribbon are all from my stash.

I used the giraffe pattern stamp once again to create a pocket to hold money or a gift card. Finally the sentiment is a stamped one I had in my stash and it is a penny black one (I think!)

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and brown card. MME - bloom and grow
Stamps: Magnolia - Monkey, Hanging Leaves, Giraffe Pattern - Pet Collection 2009. Sentiment - Penny Black
Colouring: Copics - G21, YG67, YG11, R20, R22, B000, B00, C1, 0, E31, E33, E35, E37, E41, E43, E47
Embellishments: Ribbon, buttons, twine, glossy accents
 Tools: Sewing machine, trouvaille, nesties

Colibri

Hello everyone, for my card I have used Colibri from the Magnolia Pet Collection 2009 and I have coloured it with copics. For the wings and tail I used a technique called feather blending and where the yellow and blue colours overlapped, they formed the green area. The DP is from basic grey and the ribbon, butons and jewels are from my stash.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Ivory and green card, Basic Grey
Stamps: Magnolia - Colibri - Pet Collection 2009
Colouring: Copics - Y00, Y02, Y06, Y11, Y17, YR23, B00, BG10, W3, 0
Embellishments: Buttons, ribbon, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, sewing machine, floral fantasy embossing folder

A bit of Distressing!

Hello everyone, today my card features the ever so cute Tilda with Birdcage from the Magnolia Pet Collection 2009. This card was originally made for a challenge with a theme of distressing....it was certainly a challenge for me!

Well, distressing is a nightmare for me and although I can't bring myself to rip and rough up my papers, I can manage a bit of inking! Since I got my copics at christmas my distress inks have been thoroughtly neglected but I have dusted them off and used them to colour Tilda. My DP is from Basic grey and I have distressed each element with antique linen and edged with vintage photo. I really love how this card turned out.... I'll have to get my inks out a bit more!

Supplies
Card/Paper: Cream and pink card, Basic Grey - Sugared
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Birdcage - Pet Collection 2009
Colouring: Distress inks - antique linen, walnut stain, black soot, vintage photo, peeled paint, worn lipstick, tattered rose, faded jeans, weathered wood
Embellishments: Ribbon, pearls
Tools: Sewing machine

MDU Challenge 26 & Copic Creations Challenge 15

Hello everyone, this card is for Magnolia Down Under Challenge 26 where they have a fab sketch to follow and Copic Creations Challenge 15 where you have to colour red hair.... a new one for me!

For my card I have used Tilda with Birdcage from the Magnolia Pet Collection and I have coloured her with copics. It was quite strange colouring her hair red as I usually do brown hair, but I really liked the end result. My DPs are from Basic Grey, my MS doily lace punch made an appearance again and the flowers, charm, jewels etc are from my stash.

As usual, my close up.

Card/Paper: White and pink card, Basic Grey - Sugared
