Friday Sketchers Ch 63 & Simon Says Stamp

Afternoon ladies, this card is my second DT card for Magnolia and I have used a stamp from the very lovely Lazy Summer Days Collection. I have followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers Challenge 63 however I have rotated it..... just had to faff around! and this card is also for the Simon Says Challenge this week which is distressing.

I love this stamp of Tilda with Bike, I think it is one of my favs from this collection. I have coloured her with distress inks, as usual, and highlighted with my inkssentials pen. The papers and flowers came in my Magnolia DT kit and the ribbon is from poppicrafts. I have lightly distress the edges of the DP with fired brick and around the image in broken china to make the sky

Finally a close up of my image.

1st Magnolia DT Card

Hi ladies, this is the first Magnolia DT card that I have managed to make. I received my DT kit at the end of last week and it has loads of lovely goodies in it. My sister is visiting at the moment so I haven't been able to do as much as I'd like, but I did manage this one card!

I used the sketch from this week's Simon Says Challenge and this card also fits for Stamp with Fun Challenge 17 which has a theme of pearls. I have used a gorgeous Magnolia image from the new Lazy Summer Days Collection and they will be available to buy as individual stamps soon. I have coloured my image with distress inks and the papers are from Papermania. The flowers, ribbon and pearls came in my DT kit and the brad, charm and chain are from my stash.

Finally, a close up of my image.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Pink and white card, Papermania - Blueberry Hill
Stamps: Magnolia - Lazy Summer Days Collection
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, vintage photo, broken china, peeled paint, weathered wood, worn lipstick and black soot

Cupcake Challenge 48

Morning all, its time for Cupcake Challenge 48 and it is extra exciting for me this week as it was my turn to choose the theme and I chose "Blossoms and Butterflies" - nice and easy!

For my DT card I used a Magnolia image that I was sent by a blog bud and I have coloured her with distress inks. I coloured the lilacs pink (?!) to match in with the paper and I added some pink stickles to them so they really sparkle in real life. The papers are from K & Co - I just love them - they are so bold and colourful, this was a double sided sheet that I cut in half and turned over hence the two very bold patterns. I really like how it has turned out, it is not my usual thing but I'm definitely going to try and be more bold in the future!

I kept the inside nice and simple, I still have a bit more of these papers and I want to eek them out for another card as I like them so much!!! lol!

Finally a close up, you can see the sparkly flowers in this one!

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and pink card, K & Co Berry Sweet (I think)
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Lilacs
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, tattered rose, worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, weathered wood, peeled paint, black soot. Inkssentials pen for highlighting.
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewels, stickles
Tools: Water brush

The rest of the DT have made some awesome creations, so please check out the challenge and join in. We have some exciting things planned for our first birthday which is coming soon and you wont want to miss it!

Bright Red Ladybird Tilda

Hi girls, thankfully today it is cooler and it has rained.... I know to some of you this may seem a bit odd but we have been having temperatures in the mid/high 30s and I have been soooooo hot. I have been finding it very difficult to get the energy to do anything...... even craft!!!!

So, this afternoon I have finally managed to do make a card. It covers four challenges; firstly Just Magnolia Challenge 12 where the theme is charms, secondly Secret Crafter Challenge 39 where the theme is three ribbons.... I have actually used four so I hope it is ok!, Creative Card Crew Challenge 18 also has a theme of ribbons...handy!.. and finally, I have followed the fab sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday.

The gorgoeus Tilda image is from a blog bud and she is coloured with distress inks. The papers are pebbles ink and it is lush double sided paper, and I have used my d'vine swirl folder for the embossing. The flowers are primas, the charm, brad, spacer and cute little ladybird are all from my stash. I have just got a white inkssentials pen for highlighting and I'm working on the less is more philosophy until I get the hang of it.... I'm just dabbing it about at the moment, so you will have to bear with me!!! lol!!

The inside is nice and simple and, as you can see, the MS punch has made an appearance.... you were warned!!!! lol!! The sentiment was computer generated and behind it I have made a little pocket where money or a gift card can be added.

Finally, a close up of the very cute Tilda.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and red card, Pebbles inc
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Ladybug
Colouring: Distress inks - black soot, fired brick, tattered rose, weathered wood, worn lipstick. Inkssentials pen for highlights
Embellishments: Primas, PM brad, spacer, charm, ladybird embellie
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, d'vine swirl folder, water brush, MS doily lace punch, leone em branch punch

Thanks for looking and I hope you are all having a great week. x

Just Magnolia Week 11

Wow, I am so please I have finally finished this card. It was one of those cards that we all get from time to time, that just wouldn't go right! Everything I stuck down kept going wonky and I just couldn't settle on the square panel behind the image, this is the third one I tried and I'm finally happy with it! Then low and behold, I have just discovered I have missed the sentiment from the sketch.... what an idiot I can be... I understand girls if this one doesn't count.

The card is for Just Magnolia Week 11 where there is a fabulous sketch to follow by the uber talented Bev. The stamp has been coloured with distress inks and the paper is from papermania. The flowers are prima and the branches were punched with my leone em punch.... I just can't keep my hands off it!!!

The chocolate colour scheme was because on the inside I have put a recipe for chocolate chip muffins.

Finally, a close up of my colouring.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and brown card, Papermania - Antique Cream
Stamp: Magnolia - Love Muffin
Colouring: Distress inks - antique linen, worn lipstick, weathered wood, brown whispers pen
Embellishments: Primas, PM pearl brad, charm, pearls
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, leone em branch punch, spellbinders doodle parts, fiskars threading water punch, water brush.

Summery Tilda with Flowers

Just got this one done in time, even though the card has been partly made for days! Just Magnolia Challenge 10 has a theme of summer, I have used the sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge 5 and I'm also going to enter this card for Charisma Cardz Challenge 25 where anything goes.

For my card I have used a Magnolia image that I received from a blog bud and Tilda is coloured with distress inks. I have added some stickles to the centre of all the flowers to give the image a bit of lift and sparkle. The papers are from pebbles inc and the sentiment was done on my computer using the font lucinda handwriting.

The inside is decorated using the same papers and I have also used the influence of the sketch.

Finally, a close up of Tilda so you can see the colouring, but unfortunately the sparkle in the flowers doesn't show through. I think this image is ever so sweet and I really find the Magnolias a joy to colour.

Supplies:
Card/Paper: White and pink card, Pebbles inc
Stamp: Magnolia - Tilda with Flowers
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, worn lipstick, tattered rose, broken china, antique linen, peeled paint, weathered wood
Embellishments: Primas, PM pearl brad, pearls, stickles
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, leone em branch punch, water brush

Stamptacular Challenge 11

Hi ladies, this week on Stamptacular Challenge 11 we have a theme of "Fabulous Father's". As usual the DT have surpassed themselves and made some amazing creations, so go check out the blog and join in with the challenge if you can.

Instead of a fathers day card I have made a birthday card for my boyfriend's dad as his birthday is coming up in a few weeks.

He is quite musical and he plays the guitar, among other things, so this edwin image that I got from a blog bud was perfect for his card. As usual, it is coloured with distress inks and I also distressed the edge with weathered wood ink to really make the image stand out.

For the paper I went in search of some free sheet music to download and I thought it made a perfect background for the card. The embossed panel was done using the allegro folder, again keeping the musical theme.

I finished off the card with some black ribbon, a music note charm and some jewels.

For the inside I followed the same sketch (roughly!) and I used the same downloaded sheet music as my DP.

Finally, an image of the card from another angle!!!

Supplies
Card/Paper: Black and white card, free download
Stamp: Magnolia - Edwin with guitar
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, tattered rose, weathered wood, fired brick, faded jeans, walnut stain, antique linen and black soot
Embellishments: American crafts ribbon, charm, jewels.
Tools: Cuttlebug, circle and scalloped circle nesties, allegro embossing folder, water brush, sponge.

Butterfly Tilda

This week on Cupcake Challenge 43, Ida set a colour challenge and you have to use the colours blue, orange and pink and make a card for a child. This was a fab colour combo to work with and I really enjoyed making this card.

I am also entering this card for Just Magnolia Week 8 where there is a fabulous sketch to follow by the uber talented Rach, Dutch Dare Challenge 51 where you have to decorate the inside of your card and finally Secret Crafter Challenge 35 where the theme is bling.

I have used a gorgeous magnolia image that I received from a blog bud and it is coloured with distress inks.

The paper I have used is perfect for this colour combo and I think it is so pretty. It is from pebbles inc and I only bought 1 12 x 12 sheet and this is my last piece (weep weep). It is double side so it is so easy to match it together, just flip it over!

For the inside I used the same papers and the sentiment is computer generated.

The card from another angle.

Finally, a close up showing Tilda in all her glory!

Supplies:
Card/Paper: White and pink card, Pebbles inc
Stamp: Magnolia
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, tattered rose, worn lipstick, fired brick, broken china, spiced marmalade, dusty concord.
Embellishments: Primas, jewel brad, jewels, american crafts ribbon.
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, water brush, sponge, leone em leaf punch.
